Salomie Nabarlambarl

Salomie Nabarlambarl is of Ngalkangila skin group and Djordi clan. Her country is Kamarrkawarn - outstation community in the Mann River region. Salomie has been working as a language worker for the Bininj Kunwok Regional Language & Culture Centre for a few years. Before starting with the Language Centre, Salomie was working as an early childhood assistant teacher at Gunbalanya School. Salomie is also a singer and keyboard player in Wildflower Band - a Kunwinjku rock/raggae band from Mamardawerre - outstation community in the Goomadderr River region. She is passionate about preserving Indigenous languages for herself and her future generation following the footsteps of her grandmother Jill with language education.
