Be Keillor

Be has a background in linguistics and cultural documentation, with over a decade of experience collaborating with Indigenous communities across the Northern Territory and far north-west Queensland. She holds a Master of Applied Linguistics from Monash University, focused on social discourse and identity. As Cultural Research Project Coordinator at Maningrida Arts and Culture, she worked alongside the community to oversee the Djòmi Museum collection, improving conservation and cataloguing systems, supporting repatriation, and sourcing funding for language and cultural documentation projects. She has also worked as a Project Linguist with the Kalkutungu Language Project since 2017, supporting the development of language resources and curriculum materials. Be currently also works with Batchelor Institute’s CALL (Centre for Australian Languages and Linguistics) collection, informing the development of a digital archive and database, alongside her role as Archive and Access Coordinator with the BKRLCC.
